Help The Breast Cancer Site

Help The Breast Cancer Site raise an additional $10,000 for breast cancer research by clicking on the big pink button at http://www.thebreastcancersite.com.


Every click also helps raise money for the free mammogram program (National Breast Cancer Foundation).


Let others know! The Breast Cancer Site is 75% towards their goal but they need a little extra help to raise the $10,000 by April 30.

Domestic violence

Domestic violence is a very real issue for many women and some men...with a member base of over 23,000 members as much as it pains me to think about it, the fact remains that there are some members on the site who are suffering at the hands of domestic violence.

This is a thread to post information for those members who may need help, support, statistics, about DV and they can gather this information ANONYMOUSLY, and know they have the support of the members...because it's easier said than done when trying to leave an abusive relationship, especially when you feel like the worth and fight has been beat out of you.

*85-95% of all domestic violence victims are female.
*Over 500,00 women are stalked by an intimate partner each year.
*5.3 million women are abused each year.
*1,232 women are killed each year by an intimate partner.
*Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women.
*Women are more likely to be attacked by someone they know rather than by a stranger.

Komen Atlanta Race for the Cure

Until There's A Cure® is a national organization dedicated to eradicating HIV/AIDS by raising awareness and funds to combat this pandemic.

Our dream is that no one else will become infected with HIV. For those who are HIV positive, we are dedicated on their behalf to educating all people about the virus and the overwhelming need for love and compassion in fighting this pandemic.

Our goal is to fund prevention education, care services, and vaccine development using The Bracelet as the tool. The Bracelet will not only serve as a bridge to unite people to fight HIV/AIDS, but will help to increase awareness, compassion, understanding, and responsibility.

• Funding innovative programs which promote AIDS awareness and prevention education for our generation of young Americans.
• Providing financial support for care and services for those living with AIDS.
